Affiliate Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have an existing audience or distribution channel relevant to motorists, sustainability, savings, or vehicle ownership.
  • We do not accept affiliates who promote misleading, deceptive, or unsubstantiated claims.

Approved Promotion Methods

You may promote CarPills via:

  • Websites and blogs
  • Email newsletters
  • Social media channels
  • Video platforms (YouTube, etc.)
  • Educational or review-based content

Paid advertising may require prior written approval.

Prohibited Activities

Affiliates must NOT:

  • Make false or exaggerated claims about fuel savings or emissions reduction
  • Position CarPills as a replacement for proper vehicle maintenance
  • Use spam, forced clicks, or misleading redirects
  • Bid on CarPills brand terms in paid search (unless explicitly approved)
  • Imply endorsement by vehicle manufacturers or regulators unless provided in writing

Brand & Messaging

  • Affiliates must use approved product descriptions and claims
  • Scientific or technical explanations must be accurate and proportionate
  • All marketing must comply with country-specific advertising standards and consumer protection laws

Commission & Payments

  • Commissions are earned on completed, paid orders only
  • Cancelled, refunded, or fraudulent orders are excluded
  • Payments are issued monthly
  • We reserve the right to withhold commissions if terms are breached

Termination

We may suspend or terminate affiliate accounts if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Brand reputation is put at risk
  • Promotional methods are deemed harmful or misleading

Affiliates may leave the programme at any time.

Affiliate Disclaimer

Affiliates are independent promoters and are not employees, partners, or representatives of CarPills. Participation in the programme does not grant exclusivity or ownership rights.

Affiliate Payout Policy

1. Commission structure

Affiliates earn commission on qualifying sales that are correctly tracked via their unique affiliate link or approved referral method.

  • Commission rates are agreed in advance and may vary by product or promotion
  • Commissions are calculated on the net sale value, excluding VAT, delivery charges, refunds, and chargebacks

2. Tracking and validation

  • Sales must be tracked by our affiliate system to qualify for commission
  • We reserve the right to review and validate referrals to ensure they are genuine and compliant
  • Any referrals deemed fraudulent, misleading, or non-compliant will be disqualified

3. Payout method

Affiliate commissions are paid manually by CarPills / MAEDEV.

  • Customer payments are processed through Stripe
  • Affiliate payouts are handled separately and are not automatic
  • Payouts are made via an agreed method such as bank transfer or PayPal

Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate payout details. CarPills / MAEDEV is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information.

4. Payout schedule

  • Commissions become eligible for payout once the cooling-off / refund period has passed
  • Payouts are typically processed monthly, subject to the minimum payout threshold

We reserve the right to delay a payout if:

  • A transaction is under review
  • A refund or chargeback is pending
  • Additional verification is required

5. Minimum payout threshold

  • The minimum payout amount is £50 GBP
  • Commissions below this amount will roll over to the next payout period

6. Refunds and chargebacks

If a customer receives a refund or initiates a chargeback:

  • The related commission will be deducted from the affiliate’s balance
  • If already paid, the amount may be offset against future commissions

7. Taxes and compliance

Affiliates are responsible for:

  • Declaring and paying any applicable taxes on commission income
  • Complying with all relevant advertising, consumer protection, and disclosure regulations

This includes clearly disclosing affiliate relationships where required.

8. Programme changes and termination

  • CarPills / MAEDEV reserves the right to update commission rates, payout terms, or programme structure with reasonable notice
  • Either party may terminate the affiliate relationship at any time
  • Outstanding eligible commissions will be paid in line with this policy
